SPX was great this year. Maybe it was the drink tickets that were handed out with each exhibitor badge, but everyone seemed to be having an amazing time.
I spent most of my time at the DC Conspiracy bank of tables.

Iimbibing of the many drinks that the DCC mebers ferreted under our tables.

I'm not terribly good at putting into words the excitement and energy in the room and how much talent was at the tables So I'm gonna just list some highlights.
Hanging out with my convention buddy from New York Keith McCleary and his table mate Frank Reynoso
Chatting about skate magazines with James Callahan who you might know from the excelent posters he produces for New Rock Church of Fire. I also picked up his amazing mini comic Booyah the Oblitorator
Meeting and trading books with fellow genre comic enthusiast Joshua Jenkins
Picking up Jan's Atomic Heart from the New Reliable Press booth
Saturday pre-Ignatz drinking with the DCC and some fine folks from the House of Twelve
Now I'm gonna let photos and video do the rest of the talking (mostly)

One of the three purchasers of the DCC Suspicious Package.

Our nearly empty bottle of Seagram's Distiller's Reserve Gin

Gahan Wilson giving an ignatz in the most briliant way possible.
The Ignatz award for Mini comics that my friend Matt Dembicki was up for (and sadly lost) The "Hell Yeah" during the announcement is a very gin drunk me.
There doesn't appear to be a video of my little call and response with Liz Baillie about her erotic haiku. But that is probably for the best.

And here I am delighting other members of the DCC with a witty story (probably about penises and vaginas). Notice the styrofoam cup of gin I am holding in the same hand as a glass of red wine.
If you are interested in grabbing copies of the books I was hawking at SPX.
Here are links to two of them...
CrumbSnatchers
Dr Dremo's Taphouse of Tall Tales and Short Stories: The Spoils of Crime
And the DCC is here...
DC Conspiracy Site.
God loves a cheerful giver.
Did you get a chance to hang with Callahan much? I always ask him about these things and he usually has some pretty good stories.
