As always before we kick off with the events, a couple of about-town-notes and links:
- The biggest (literally) show this month is Art Whino's G40 Summit in Crystal City (and one of BYT's YIA Spotlight events). 4 Weeks of interactive urban art, music and more. Make sure you stop by and check it out. (and our special photo preview here)

- Cherry Blossom festival is around the corner and through BLOSSOM! it is offering young DC non-professional graphic designers a great opportunity to win scolarship money and a chance to have their work show at the annual Cherry Blast Event on April 2nd. You have till March 26th to submit your cherry blossom inspired designs and going to this url will give you more info about what the rules and expectations are: http://blossomdesignchallenge.strutta.com/

THURSDAY
- Dreams for Kids is a national non-profit helping kids in need and they're also our labmates so we know Andrew and his sea of interns work hard every day and you should help them fundraise if you can. Join them and Albus Cavus for a benefit auction at Paolo's Ristorante in Georgetown. See the works for sale here, and there will be hors d'oeuvres, live music and cash bar. The party then moves to TOWN where Fatback is going to DJ and everyone is going to lose their minds for a good cause.

- The Bi-annual Ikebana shows opens @ The Art League Gallery in Alexandria today.
- Phillips After 5 tonight gives you a chance to check out the Georgia O'Keefe show you've been planning to go see for a couple of weeks now, right? right.
FRIDAY
- Transformer's tiny space is somehow going to host Mia Feuer's dynamic, massive sculptures for a while. Stop by Suspended Landscapes' opening tonight from 6pm and also make sure to check out our big "Inside the Artist's Studio" story with Mia from yesterday.

- It is First Fridays in Dupont so check out Dupont Circle Arts blog (done in collaboration with the WPA) about the openings but make sure you check out the dual opening at Hillyer: Elena Patiño: Laborious Futility / Kate Kretz: Purge/Deluge. Also-we will run our story with Elena tomorrow so keep your eyes peeled for that
- Honfleur Gallery and Alliance Francaise partner up for a show by Cyril Anguelidis and Charlotte L'Harmerloult. Opening reception is tonight at 6:30 and RSVP is requiered, so RSVP.
SATURDAY
- DC's numero uno art school band True Womanhood is offering you an opportunity not only to be part of their new video but to participate in the actual making of it by donating photos and footage. Details here.

- DCist opens their immensely popular annual DCist Exposed Photo show tonight, at Long View Gallery from 6 to 10 pm. Aside from wanting to get there early to beat out the inevitable masses of people that are bound to descend upon it, there is also another reason to show up at 6 on the dot: Pabst Blue Ribbon, one of their sponsors, will have homemade pinhole cameras (made from recycled PBR cans, naturally) to give away to the first 100 photography lovers who visit their table at the reception
- Over on H Street, the hard working people who just opened Studio H will have their grand opening for City Gallery just a few blocks away, tonight at 6pm. The new gallery will focus affordable, accessible art, and the opening show will feature works from all 20 of the artists they currently represent
ALSO-A NOTE FOR EARLY NEXT WEEK:
- On Tuesday, AIGA presents a special, one-night only screening of BEAUTIFUL LOSERS @ E street cinema. You should go.
